Tetsu Wakabayashi was born in Tokyo, Japan.
He moved to US to study film making. As a student He attended Emporia State University and Centenary University, where he decided to dedicate his life to depict invisible waves in a frame and began developing his skills since then.
After graduating from college, he moved to NY to pursue a career in film industry. Tetsu went on working as a assistant camera in variety of film projects, commercials, music videos and TV shows. After five years of gaining experience and acquiring taste, he decided to prove himself as a director of photography.
Over the past few years, Tetsu shot many commercials, films, music videos and more. As a professional director of photography, he has been working with many high profile clients like GODIVA, GQ Magazine, Nordstrom, Uniqlo, MTV, Japan National Tourism Organization, NHK (Japanese National Public Broadcast) and Conde Nast. He's been distinct pleasure to work with many talented people as a director of photography.
